About the Role

Were looking for an experienced Estimator / Detailer to support commercial construction projects specializing in doors, frames, and hardware . Our company has been in business for over 30 years , built on a reputation for quality craftsmanship, reliability, and long-term client relationships. In this role, youll be responsible for estimating project costs, preparing detailed take-offs, and interpreting plans and specifications to ensure projects are accurately scoped and priced.

What Youll Do

  • Prepare detailed estimates, material take-offs, and proposals for upcoming projects.
  • Review plans, specifications, and shop drawings to determine project requirements and scope.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and subcontractors to clarify details and resolve questions.
  • Track material pricing, vendor quotes, and assist with procurement planning.
  • Maintain organized records of estimates, revisions, and project documentation.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate and timely project data.
  • Support the team with project budgeting, scheduling, and cost analysis as needed.

    • What You Bring

  • Commercial construction experience is required , preferably in doors, frames, and hardware.
  • Proven ability to read, interpret, and apply blueprints, specifications, and shop drawings .
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, codes, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, and MS Project or similar project management / estimating software.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and time-management abilities.

    • Work Environment

  • Office-based role with occasional site visits.
  • Occasional overtime may be required during peak estimating periods.
