Description
Clean Harbors in Bartow FL is seeking a Class A Driver (Retail Technician) to provide comprehensive environmental services including collection and disposal of damaged discarded or recalled products; recycling of light bulbs oil oil filters engine fluids and other materials; and on-site cleanup activities.
Please note : this position requires new hires to attend our two week Academy training out of state. Expenses are covered by the company and it is paid training

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities :
Ensure Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices policies and processes and always acting in a safe mannerPick up pack and transport damaged and discarded goods management and recalled productsLoad pack and segregate materials and waste productsDriving a Box Truck visiting retail customer sitesSegregating packing and loading materials and waste products (inventory that is damaged or expired) for safe transportationInteracting with customers at each stopPrepare DOT shipping documentsUse of a laptop printer handheld and iPhone to complete tasksConduct projects / jobs according to site specific Federal State and local regulations and health and safety plans as well as Clean Harbors Environmental Services Inc. policies and proceduresExecutes Jobs at Clean Harbors customer locations including fortune 500 companiesResponsible for final preparation and approval of all projects before shipment in accordance with OSHA EPA DOT and company policiesConducts projects / jobs according to site specific Federal State and local regulations and health and safety plansUnderstand customer specific disposal restrictions / special packaging requirementsEnsures drum count is correct and that drum conditions are shippable in accordance our companys policies and procedureFollow all local state (provincial) and federal compliance regulations and rulesSafely operate vehicles in accordance with U.S. DOT local state (provincial) and federal requirementsSafely observe all corporate operating guidelines and proceduresObserve all company environmental health and safety operating guidelinesPerform other duties as assignedQualifications
Required Qualifications :
CDL AStrong customer service skillsThe ability to use a laptop handheld printer and iPhone are requiredBy position eligible to obtain hazmat and tanker endorsement within 6 months of hire company paidPerform physical functions per job requirementsSuccessfully complete a background check drug test and physical by positionPer OSHAs Respiratory Protection standard 29 CFR 1910.34 employees in positions requiring respirators are required to meet facial hair standards.Preferred Qualifications :
