Job Overview - Addiction Treatment Nurse (LPN) :
Compensation : $33 / hour
Location : Philadelphia, PA
Schedule : Saturday & Sunday, 7 : 00 AM - 3 : 00 PM
TAG MedStaffing is hiring an Addiction Treatment Nurse (LPN) in Philadelphia, PA for our client. In this weekend role, you'll provide compassionate nursing care to individuals in addiction recovery within a secure correctional setting. Responsibilities include medication administration, patient assessments, and documentation while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Responsibilities as the Addiction Treatment Nurse (LPN) :
- Medication Administration : Prepare and administer medications per medical orders, ensuring safe and accurate delivery.
- Patient Care : Perform nursing assessments, monitor withdrawal symptoms, and coordinate with providers on treatment needs.
- Documentation : Accurately record patient information, medication logs, and treatment notes in compliance with facility standards.
- Emergency Response : Deliver first aid and crisis intervention to ensure patient safety during urgent situations.
- Collaboration : Partner with physicians, counselors, and nursing staff to support integrated addiction and behavioral health care.
Qualifications for the Addiction Treatment Nurse (LPN) :
Licensure : Active and unrestricted Pennsylvania Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license required.Certification : CPR certification required.Experience : Prior experience in addiction treatment, pharmacotherapy, or correctional healthcare required.Technical Skills : Proficient in basic computer applications, including Word, Excel, and electronic medical record (EMR) systems.Industry Knowledge : Understanding of addiction-related medical conditions, withdrawal management, and general nursing procedures.Skills & Attributes : Compassionate and reliable nurse with strong clinical judgment, communication, and adaptability.Application Notice : Qualified candidates will be contacted within 2 business days of application.
