UKG System & Compliance Manager
Overview :
Our client is seeking a highly analytical and systems-savvy UKG System & Compliance Manager to lead a critical year-end audit and reconciliation initiative. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in complex environments, is self-directed, and has deep expertise in payroll systems, compliance, and leave case management.
Location : Lafayette, CO
Schedule : Hybrid, in-office Mon-Weds, every other week remote
Pay Range : $55-65 / hr (Dependent on experience)
Key Responsibilities :
1. Payroll Audit & Reconciliation (40%)
Conduct a comprehensive clean-up of payroll data, including total earnings, hours worked, PTO accruals, and leave cases.
Investigate discrepancies such as negative time-off balances and resolve root causes.
Ensure accurate year-end reporting and compliance with internal controls.
2. Systems Integration & Optimization (30%)
Work within UKG Pro (Core) and UKG Dimensions (Timekeeping) to ensure seamless data flow between modules.
Identify and resolve manual patches and inconsistencies in system setup.
Collaborate with technical support to implement automated solutions that improve overall system accuracy and efficiency.
3. Payroll Compliance & Policy Development (20%)
The UKG System & Compliance Manager will ensure adherence to payroll regulations, including FAMLI law and other leave case requirements.
Develop and document payroll policies and procedures.
Act as a subject matter expert for compliance-related inquiries across departments.
4. Data Analysis & Reporting (10%)
Use advanced Excel functions (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP) to analyze payroll data and identify trends.
Support accounting and audit functions by locating and interpreting key data points.
Minimum Qualifications :
Must-Have :
Extensive experience with UKG Pro and UKG Dimensions (Workforce Management).
Strong knowledge of payroll processing and compliance.
Expertise in leave case management and familiarity with FAMLI law.
Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP).
Investigative mindset with ability to self-serve and troubleshoot.
Nice-to-Have :
Background in accounting or auditing.
Experience writing and implementing payroll policies.
Ability to work across departments and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
