About the Role :
As a CBRE Union Helper, you will perform non-technical general building maintenance, light custodial, and minor repair duties. This job is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function. They are responsible for providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on equipment and systems.
What You'll Do :
Perform general labor work as assigned including loading, unloading, and moving materials.
Patrol grounds, communal areas, and parking facilities. Identify and report maintenance hazards or other property condition concerns. Run errands to support projects.
Perform housekeeping functions and maintain the professional appearance of the property, equipment, engineering spaces, and communal areas. Paint and patch drywall. Perform other minor repairs under supervision.
Facilitate office access and office moves by moving crates, assembling furniture, office keys, nameplates, etc.
Assisting Engineers with maintenance and repairs of HVAC
Cleaning and organizing mechanical spaces / inventory
Painting of Mechanical Equipment rooms
Escorting Vendors / Contractors throughout the building
Assisting Engineers with Sprinkler Drain down & Fill Up's due to construction
Operate Siemens Desigo BMS system for all building operations.
Respond quickly to emergency situations, summoning additional assistance as needed.
What You'll Need :
High School Diploma, GED, or currently enrolled in a 2 or 4-year college program or technical school.
May require a valid driver's license.
Physical requirements include stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs / ladders, and the ability to lift / carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
Ability to develop skills to perform basic activities in own job.
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate.
Familiarity with Microsoft Office products.
Organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
Simple math skills. Ability to calculate simple figures such as percentages, discounts, and markups.

The pay range for this position is subject to an applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement. The negotiated rate range for the Union position is $40.07 per hour. Please refer to the Collective Bargaining Agreement regarding pay scale.
