LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a company that is located in New Castle, DE. We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Manager to oversee accounting operations for a leading pharmaceutical manufacturing organization. This role is responsible for managing the month-end close process, preparing accurate financial statements, and supervising a small team. The ideal candidate will hold an active CPA license , have experience in manufacturing accounting , and be proficient in SAP S / 4HANA . Job Title : Accounting Manager

Location : New Castle, DE Salary Range : $90,000 – $110,000 annually (based on experience) Key Responsibilities :

Month-End Close : Manage and execute the month-end close process to ensure timely and accurate reporting.

Financial Statement Preparation : Prepare, review, and analyze financial statements in compliance with GAAP.

Team Leadership : Supervise and mentor 2–3 accounting staff members, providing guidance and performance feedback.

Cost Accounting : Oversee manufacturing cost accounting, including inventory valuation, standard costing, and variance analysis.

Audit & Compliance : Maintain strong internal controls and support external and internal audits.

Process Improvement : Identify and implement process enhancements to improve efficiency and accuracy.

ERP Management : Utilize SAP S / 4HANA for financial transactions, reporting, and system optimization.

Qualifications :

Education : Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.

Certification : Active CPA license required.

Experience :

Minimum 5+ years of progressive accounting experience , including 2–3 years in a supervisory role .

• Prior experience in manufacturing industry (pharmaceutical preferred).

Technical Skills :

Proficiency in SAP S / 4HANA and advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUP).

Soft Skills : Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
