Certified Outpatient Coding Specialist

A company is looking for an Outpatient OBS Coding Specialist.

Key Responsibilities

Code outpatient surgeries and OBS, including recognizing critical care cases and coding surgical procedures

Apply diagnosis and procedure codes accurately using ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, CPT, and HCPCS

Participate in training and maintain compliance with coding standards and ethical guidelines

Required Qualifications

Must be certified through AAPC or AHIMA with at least 2 years of experience

Proficient in EMR, billing systems, and Microsoft programs like Excel and Outlook

Maintain ongoing productivity and quality scores of 95% or higher

Must have a reliable phone and internet connection, along with current coding materials

Regular, predictable, and punctual attendance is required
