Job descriptionDevelop and maintain mechanical lookahead schedules, ensuring alignment with project milestones and project sequencing. Identify schedule risks early and coordinate solutions to maintain overall project progress. Work closely with discipline / trade teams to coordinate system startup, testing, and integration. Perform field inspections to verify proper installation, system layout, and performance readiness. Ensure compliance with QA / QC standards and support the commissioning process, including functional performance testing and punch list resolution. Assist with turnover documentation and ensure systems meet commissioning and owner expectations. Enforce safety practices including confined space, rigging, lifting operations, and hot work protocols. Conduct toolbox talks, participate in job hazard analyses (JHAs), and collaborate with EHS teams to maintain a safe jobsite. Verify subcontractor compliance with all project-specific safety requirements. Maintain detailed daily reports, track site activity and workforce hours, and document issues and resolutions. Review and coordinate RFIs, field directives, and submittal updates related to discipline / trade scope. Communicate regularly with project leadership on progress, field conditions, and resource needs.
We are seeking Construction Superintendents in the structural space to lead field execution on data center construction projects in western NY. Responsibilities include :
Field Leadership & Execution :
- Direct and supervise discipline / trade subcontractors on the installation of associated systems.
- Ensure that all work is performed in accordance with construction documents, project specifications, and applicable codes.
- Coordinate with trade partners and general contractor teams to support integrated construction workflows.
