Position : Mechanical Integrity Engineer

Location : Valley Green, PA

Amphenol High Speed Products Group is the market leader for high speed, high bandwidth electrical connectors for the Telecom / Datacom market (Mobile Networks, Storage, Servers, Routers, Switches, etc.). Our products help to enable the electronics revolution and remain a key enabler for all the major Tier 1 OEMs globally. We are currently seeking a Mechanical Integrity Engineer to join our Cable Backplane Connector team. The position will be located in Valley Green, PA.

RESPONSIBILITIES :

As a Mechanical Integrity Engineer you will provide the lead in supporting the development of new products through testing and analysis of data and designs.

• Develop new products and processes via mechanical testing and qualification of electrical connectors and components.
• Develop test sequences and procedures to determine the long-term reliability of electrical connectors that factor in customer use and application requirements.
• Process and analyze testing results, and create reports and presentations for internal and external customers.
• Support the product design effort in mechanical analysis such as tolerance analysis, FEA, materials analysis, failure analysis and creating test plans.
• Prepare test samples and test requests, design and fabricate test fixtures, interface with test lab technicians.
• Collaborate with internal and external suppliers and manufacturing personnel, supporting the development and validation of product prototypes through pilot production, as well as interfacing with beta-site customers.
