Shipping & Receiving Associate

Responsibilities :

• Count items in incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders and other records.
• Determine method of shipment, utilizing knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
• Affix shipping labels on packed cartons
• Insert items into containers, using spacers, fillers and protective padding
• Stamp and write identifying information and shipping instruction onto crates or container
• Post weights and shipping charges, and affix postage
• Unpack and examine incoming shipments, reject damaged items record shortages, and correspond with shipper to rectify damages and shortages
• Ensure the outgoing shipments meet specification
• Maintain inventory of shipping materials and supplies
• Treat customers in accordance with dealership policies
• Write legible and record all information accurately
• Keep Parts Manager informed of all problems and stock requirements
• Place parts into stock or customers bins quickly and accurately
• Notify other departments in dealership when their parts arrive
• Attend any parts schools as requested
