The Opportunity :
As a Territory Sales Manager , you’ll be the driving force behind profitable growth in your assigned region. You’ll cultivate deep relationships with independent agency partners, deliver innovative distribution strategies, and take ownership of your territory’s success. This is an exciting role for a motivated insurance professional ready to combine technical underwriting knowledge with a proper business development mindset.
What You’ll Do
- Develop and execute territory marketing plans that identify new opportunities, anticipate challenges, and position your region for sustained growth.
- Drive profitable premium growth by leveraging your binding authority and underwriting insight to target the right classes of business.
- Evaluate and onboard top-performing agencies , providing recommendations for appointments that strengthen our distribution network.
- Build and manage a strong sales pipeline , ensuring consistent submission flow and growth in key commercial segments.
- Collaborate with Underwriting, Claims, and Home Office teams to align goals, share insights, and deliver exceptional service to our agency partners.
- Use Power BI and market data to analyze submission activity, evaluate quote ratios, and influence agency behaviors that drive results.
- Deliver impactful agency training on new products, programs, and systems—keeping our partners informed, engaged, and competitive.
- Represent the brand in the market as a trusted advisor and relationship builder with a deep understanding of local industry trends.
What You’ll Bring
Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of P&C insurance experience (commercial underwriting or sales); or 6+ years of relevant industry experience.Proven success managing agency relationships and achieving profitable growth targets.Strong analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and act decisively.Exceptional communication and negotiation skills , with confidence presenting to agency partners and leadership.High level of initiative, organization, and strategic thinking—thriving in a role that blends autonomy with collaboration.Experience with Power BI and familiarity with Independent Agency distribution preferred.Valid driver’s license and ability to travel, including overnight stays.Why Join Us
