NW Employment Solutions is partnered with a Metal Components Company in Tualatin and we are looking to add an Maintenance Tech to join our team.
Shift : Day 6am-2 : 30pm
Pay : $25-30 DOE
This position is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of all machinery and mechanical equipment. Includes installation of new equipment, performance of regular services and periodic / preventive maintenance procedures and troubleshooting of equipment malfunctions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs repair and periodic maintenance on production equipment : punches, lasers, press brakes, and other manufacturing equipment.
- Uses hand and power tools to inspect, lubricate, repair, fabricate, assemble, and install equipment.
- Works closely with machine operators and production supervisors and assists in the startup, operation and troubleshooting / repair of equipment.
- Utilizes a variety of electrical, pneumatic, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical and welding procedures / equipment.
- Performs facility-related (including but not limited to plumbing, electrical, HVAC) preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and repair as necessary.
- Follows proper practices / procedures to minimize the down time of machines by keeping them in safe working order.
- Follows established safety protocols including required usage of PPE; helps to maintain a safe working environment.
- Keeps work area clean and organized
- Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications and Experience
Minimum skills, knowledge, education, certifications and related job experience that employee typically must have to perform essential functions of the job acceptably.
7+ years of experience in a production settingMust have a current Oregon Limited Maintenance Electrician’s License (LME)Any relevant post high school training field specific preferredExperience with machine maintenance (pneumatic, electronic, hydraulic, mechanical), welding, and basic plumbing / electrical / HVAC work required.Ability to correctly and safely use hand and power tools to inspect, lubricate, repair, fabricate, assemble, and install equipment.Must be able to work closely and communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization as well as outside service providers.Basic shop math and measurement skills and ability to effectively read manualsMust have knowledge and awareness to comply with all standard Federal, State and Local regulations and policies, including (but not limited to) Lock Out Tag procedures for all types of equipment, proper handling of solvents and chemicals according to SDS sheets, vision, hearing and respiratory protection, and proper lifting techniques as may be required within the scope of the job at hand.Strong attention to detailDependability; honesty & integrity; a positive, proactive attitude; ability to use time productively, working with minimal supervision both individually and as part of a team.Ability to work overtime as requiredPhysical Requirements
