Qualifications :
- Bachelor's Degree in Architecture or Engineering, or 3 to 5 years of experience in designing and managing exterior repair / roofing projects, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Demonstrated proficiency in estimating, scheduling, budgeting / cost control, construction observation, client relations, and interpersonal skills.
- Robust interpersonal communication, organizational, and leadership skills, including the capacity to train and supervise others for quality and completion.
- Expertise in building exterior envelopes, weatherproofing, masonry repair, historic preservation, landmarks, roofing projects, FISP inspections, and reports.
- Prior experience in New York
- Possession of QEWI certification experience (Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector) from the NYC Department of Buildings will be valued.
Responsibilities :
- Evaluate building exterior envelopes, develop work scopes, and estimate budgets.
- Offer administrative and technical support for new facade / roofing projects from proposal preparation to client acceptance.
- Create construction documents to address deficiencies based on DOB and LPC requirements / guidelines.
- Define project objectives, procedures, and performance standards within corporate guidelines; coordinate project designs with other disciplines.
- Generate Construction Documents using AutoCAD / Revit.
- Conduct reviews of contractor bids.
- Review architectural plans for FISP-related projects.
- Proficient in FISP Inspections / Building Envelope Inspection.
- Perform construction observation, special inspections, issue site visit reports, and maintain communication with LPC, as needed.
- Develop and manage project schedules, handle change orders, review payment applications, and oversee project closure.
- Collaborate closely with the Qualified Exterior Wall Inspector (QEWI) to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
- Monitor project budgets actively for profitability and foster client relationships.
- Identify new business opportunities and communicate potential projects to Client Services.
Work Environment :
- Office Hours : 8 : 00 AM - 5 : 00 PM.
- Workdays : 5 days in the office, unless conducting site visits or working in the field.
- Overtime : No overtime.
Interview Process :
- There are 2 rounds of interviews : a 30-minute virtual interview and an in-office interview.
