Job Summary

The Moss Department of Construction Management is seeking for Camp Facilitators to join the Summer Camp team of staff. The candidate will work directly with the Camp Coordinator on a variety of projects and activities within the camp. Examples of duties include :

Assist with the planning and preparations for camp week activities and projects.

Coordinating and overseeing team of student volunteers.

Communicating with student campers and parents / guardians prior to camp.

Overseeing the coordination of camp activities.

Assisting with social media of camp happenings.

Assisting with other camp activities as needed.

Participating in camp committee meetings.

• . Camp facilitators will gain valuable practical experience as well as on campus leadership experience.

Minimum Qualifications

At least 3 semesters of FIU work experience or related experience outside the University with satisfactory or higher from prior student appointment.

Knowledge of MS Word, Excel and Powerpoint.

Attention to detail.

Friendly and courteous while interacting with students and the public.

Ability to manage and prioritize multiple projects simultaneously.

Currently pursuing a degree in Construction Management is a plus.

Ability to speak and give presentations to groups of various sizes.

Applicants must be currently enrolled as a student at FIU with a minimum of six (6) credits as an Undergraduate student or three (3) credits as a Graduate student during the Fall and Spring semesters.

During the Summer semesters, Students need only remain enrolled and are not required to take credit hours, but cannot have graduated.

Upon decreasing credit hours or graduating, student employment must end.
