The Patient Care Tech is a multi-skilled, non-licensed health care provider who provides direct patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. Applies knowledge of growth and development to perform detailed assignments / interventions. Provides consistent care based on the changing physical and psychosocial needs, unique to the patient. PCT I : Students ages 16 and 17 can be employed with parental consent. It is preferred that they are also part of a High School Health Career Program, High School graduate or equivalent.

Certified Nursing Assistant program graduate with current TN license, Certified Patient Care Technician or certified Medical Assistant with active certification
