Internship Details
Duration : 11 weeks, full-time
Dates of Internship : June 1, 2026 - August 14, 2026
Location : Burlington, North Carolina
Compensation : Paid internship; relocation assistance available for qualified candidates
Eligibility : Preferred candidates are rising juniors and seniors (Dec 2026 through June 2028 graduation) who are currently enrolled in a relevant degree program; however, all current students pursuing related studies are encouraged to apply.

About the Team
The Payroll Tax department adheres to legislation and regulatory compliance and ensures the employee and employer tax liability is reported and paid to regulatory agencies timely. The department also handles the employee tax setup, validates payroll tax results, answers employee questions and ensures the payroll system is updated with the correct regulatory updates on a regular basis.
Internship Assignment Summary
Familiarize yourself with the processes used to process payroll, withhold taxes and report the employee and employer withholding to regulatory agencies. Gain knowledge of the quarterly and annual processes used for reporting earnings to employees and regulatory agencies. Engage in training to develop a more in-depth knowledge of Federal, State and Local payroll tax regulations.
Education / Qualifications / Skills
Working towards bachelor's degree in business administration or accounting Has experience or interest in tax processes Experience with Excel required, Workday and APD systems highly preferred Ability to collaborate with internal / external colleagues Has experience delivering multiple projects in an academic or professional setting This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship
