Ascension St. Vincent Sleep Disorders Center\n2001 W. 86th St. \nIndianapolis, IN 46260\n\nTechnologist - Polysomnographic\nPatient Population : Infant and up\n\nJob Summary : \nPerforms basic and advanced diagnostic sleep studies.\n\nResponsibilities : \nPrepares patient and equipment for ordered testing. Interviews patient to determine sleep disorder\nissues and to explain testing procedures.\nPerforms and documents testing. Monitors patient throughout testing and intervenes as necessary to\nresolve patient needs or equipment issues. Collect, analyze and integrate patient information to identify and meet patient-specific needs; scores,\ninterprets and reports results of sleep studies.\nPrepares, calibrates, repairs and maintains equipment required for testing. Determines and reports\nneeded repairs / replacements.\n\nComplexity of Work : \nWithin scope of job, requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful environment.\n\nPersonal Protective Equipment : \nFollows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.\n\nMinimum Qualifications\n\nLicensure / Certification / Registration : \n Required Credential(s) : \n BLS Provider credentialed from the American Heart Association (AHA)\nOne or more of the following : \nRegistered Polysomnographic Tech credentialed from the Board of Registered Polysomnographic Technologists (BRPT).\n\n Sleep Technician credentialed from the American Board of Sleep Medicine (ABSM).\n\nEducation : \n High schooi dipioma / GED with 2 years of experience, or Associate's degree, or Technical degree required.
