As a Team Leader in the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Program , you will be responsible for the following :
Provide comprehensive psycho-social assessment, treatment planning, therapy, community-based support and advocacy to adults with serious mental illness and their families.Work in collaboration with the ACT team and other community providers to facilitate the efficient and effective operation of the program and adherence to ACT fidelity standards.Assist with the orientation training of ACT team members and co-facilitate ACT team meetings.The Team Leader provides crisis intervention, on-call crisis coverage and clinical consultation to other on-call staff as needed.Travel : Mileage Reimbursement when personal vehicle used - IRS standard. .64 per mile

Submission Requirements
Must possess a Master's Degree in Social Work, Psychology or Counseling with a LMSW, LLP or LPC licensure from the State of Michigan. All state licensure must continually remain active, in effect, and free from disciplinary action. - Required.A minimum of two (2) years of experience treating adults with mental health and / or substance use disorders. - Required.Specific experience working in a community mental health setting and knowledge. - Preferred.Must be eligible for a Qualified Mental Health Professional at the time of hire and a Substance Abuse Treatment Specialist credential within 120 days of hire.Must possess a CAADC credential, or be on an active, approved registered MCBAP certification Development Plan within six weeks of hire. The Development Plan application must be submitted to MCBAP with or without the required trainings within 30 days of hire. Documentation of required trainings may be submitted with the Development Plan Application or within 90 days of hire.Candidates for this position must have exceptional clinical assessment, client engagement and intervention skills.Must demonstrate competency working collaboratively with clients, family members, agency staff and community partners.Must have the ability to work both independently and as a team member.Must have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.Must have an orientation toward providing community outreach services and must have the ability to effectively manage crisis situations.Additional requirements include a nonjudgmental approach that reflects cultural competency and sensitivity to the unique needs and diverse experiences of adults with mental illness and / or co-occurring substance use disorders and their families.Candidates must also possess and retain a Chauffeurs license and meet the driving eligibility requirements as defined by the agency's current insurance policy.Cannot accept candidates who are on student / work visas, and / or require sponsorship to work in the U.S. at this time.State License Requirements

Throughout the last six decades the agency has maintained a collaborative relationship with its local communities and schools to support adults and children experiencing mental health difficulties and other challenges. A group of concerned residents and educators recognized the need for mental health services in our area and joined forces in 1958 to help form The Guidance Center. Since then we have worked as a team to respond to the needs of children, adults and families in southeast Michigan.
The agency operates a wide range of programs and services at 20 locations. Our expertise in mental health and wellness, early childhood education, free preschool for income-eligible families, intellectual & developmental disabilities services and support, mentoring, substance-use disorder, Kids-TALK Children's Advocacy Center, Champions of Wayne, Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC), Nurture the Future, and research and evaluation helps more than 15,000 children and adults annually work on their own personal triumphs in life.
