Bartlett Regional Hospital is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Home Health and Hospice team! This RN position will work between both Home Health and Hospice with their home unit being Hospice Care.

Pay Information :

Internal Hires : Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on applicable Rules or Union Contract Terms.

External Hires : Step placement and rate of pay will be determined based on relevant experience.

• Hospice RN 1 starts at $44.09 per hour
• Hospice RN 2 starts at $46.29 per hour

Job Summary :

Hospice RN 1 : The Hospice RN 1 independently plans and implements routine nursing care in predictable situations using standards and knowledge obtained during education and preceptorship. The Hospice RN 1 begins to assume leadership responsibility and works under general supervision. A Hospice RN administers skilled nursing care to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plans of care under the direction and supervision of the Hospice Manager.

Hospice RN 2 : A Hospice RN 2 is an advanced level nurse who renders individualized comprehensive nursing care to meet the patient’s physical, psychological, spiritual, social, cultural, and educational needs. The Hospice RN 2 provides the best possible preventative, supportive, and rehabilitative nursing care to each patient based upon the nursing process and in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. A Hospice RN administers skilled nursing care to patients on an intermittent basis in their place of residence. This is performed in accordance with physician orders and plans of care under the direction and supervision of the Hospice Clinical Manager.

Minimum Qualifications for the Job :

Hospice RN 1 :

Education : Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program. BSN preferred.

License : Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license. Valid Driver's License required at the time of appointment.

Certification(s) : Basic Life Support (BLS), current auto liability insurance, and reliable transportation is required at time of appointment.

Hospice RN 2 :

Education : Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program. BSN preferred.

License : Current State of Alaska Registered Nurse (RN) license. Valid Driver's License required at the time of appointment.

Certification(s) : Basic Life Support (BLS), current auto liability insurance, and reliable transportation is required at time of appointment.
