Job descriptionProvide 24-hour emergency department call coverage for pediatric cases Conduct daily rounds on pediatric inpatients (average census of 5 patients; some beds may be used for overflow) Respond to admissions and manage inpatient care as needed Collaborate closely with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care Active North Carolina medical license required Board certification in Pediatrics and Pediatric Hospital Medicine required Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification required Previous experience with both ED call and inpatient pediatric care strongly preferred Strong compensation Travel-related expenses covered A-rated medical malpractice insurance provided Dedicated recruiter for future travel opportunities Whether you need long term coverage for your practice, short term vacation coverage, or anything in between – you can trust Barton Associates to provide the flexible staffing solutions your organization needs to thrive. About The Position
We are seeking a Pediatric Hospitalist for a 3-day locum tenens assignment in North Carolina, starting Dec 24, 2025. This opportunity involves 24-hour ED call shifts and making rounds, with an average census of 5 patients. The assignment is ideal for board-certified physicians experienced in pediatric hospital medicine who are comfortable providing both emergency and inpatient care.
