Asset Integrity Engineer – Oil & Gas

Houston or Midland, TX (Hybrid field role)

$60–$75 / hour | Contract | Travel 1–2 days every 2 weeks initially, then monthly

About the Role :

A leading oil & gas operator is seeking a Senior  Asset Integrity Engineer to support ongoing pipeline and facility integrity initiatives across Texas. This role focuses on risk assessment, reliability, and engineering oversight to ensure the safe, efficient operation of critical infrastructure. The position offers strong project visibility, cross-departmental collaboration, and the opportunity to influence long-term asset performance.

Key Responsibilities :

• Perform threat assessments, risk analyses, and integrity evaluations for pipelines and SWD facilities
• Identify high-consequence areas and manage risk assessment tools using sound engineering judgment
• Conduct Fitness-for-Service and remaining strength analyses on process equipment
• Design, plan, and oversee inspection programs with internal and third-party NDT / NDE teams
• Evaluate inspection, operational, and corrosion control data to guide inspection priorities and maintenance actions
• Provide technical oversight and support to Engineering, Operations, and Reliability teams
• Support the implementation and optimization of a corporate maintenance management system (Maximo)
• Lead and document root cause investigations and corrective actions for incidents or equipment failures
• Develop performance criteria, specifications, and engineering documentation for new and existing facilities
• Analyze hydraulic models and assist in project design optimization for improved cost and performance
