Overview

The Echo Technician 2 performs testing procedures consisting of Adult Echocardiagrams, Stress Echo Treadmill, TEE, Electrocardiographs and / or Pediatric Echocardiagram as required by facility with supervision of Director. S / he may provide service to patients, from neonatal, child, adolescent, adult and geriatric populations.

Qualifications

Education

High School Diploma or GED- Required

Certification & Licensures

ARDMS or CCI- Required; or graduates of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program must obtain the ARDMS or CCI within 6 months from the date of hire and will only work as provisional staff under appropriate supervision of an NAH credentialed Lead Sonographer until credentialed.

BLS (American Heart Association)- Required

RCCS : Pediatric congenital and adult congenital cardiac ultrasound certification- Preferred

Employee will obtain and maintain appropriate clinical competencies for the roles assigned by their departmental leader.

Experience

Computers and other electronic devices are utilized across the organization and throughout each department. Colleagues must have an understanding of computers, and competence in using computers and basic software programs.
