MAINTENANCE ELECTRICIAN – 3rd Shift

Location : Elk Grove Village, IL

Shift : 11 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM (Occasional OT : 7 : 00 PM – 7 : 00 AM)

Employment Type : Full-Time, Direct Hire

Compensation : $36 / hr + $1.50 / hr shift differential + Overtime + Quarterly Bonus

Position Overview

Our client is seeking a Maintenance Electrician to maintain, troubleshoot, repair, and calibrate production electrical systems within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role supports continuous operations and works closely with the Maintenance Lead, Manufacturing Engineer, and Production Supervisors to resolve issues and minimize production downtime.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform preventive maintenance, inspections, and documentation on motors, generators, control panels, switches, circuits, breakers, and related equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems using meters, scopes, electronic test equipment, and schematic diagrams.
• Install, modify, and upgrade electrical equipment while ensuring minimal impact to production.
• Diagnose failures and determine safe temporary or permanent solutions.
• Repair motors, cranes, generators, and related equipment; perform basic mechanical repairs as needed.
• Monitor, inspect, and calibrate computer relay and automated control systems.
• Start, stop, and adjust gas-fired industrial ovens.
• Assist during emergency breakdowns and rigging tasks as needed.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and participate in continuous improvement initiatives.
