About The Position

Job Title : Occupational Therapist

Profession : Occupational Therapist

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Days

Hours per Shift : 8 hours, Monday - Friday

Experience : Minimum of 1 year of experience required; new graduates accepted with Level II fieldwork experience.

License : Occupational Therapist license required.

Certifications : NBCOT / AOTA certification preferred.

Must-Have : Long term care or rehabilitation experience required.

Description :

Effectively screens and evaluates patients with cognitive and / or activities of daily living physical functioning disorders.

Develops appropriate plans of care following regulatory and clinical practice standards.

Utilizes standardized assessments and evidence-based practice to support clinical interventions.

Provides rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment intervention to patients.

Administers various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including but not limited to ADL retraining.

Implements therapeutic activities, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and the use of supportive and assistive devices.

Assesses patient progress and adjusts treatments accordingly in the clinical record.

Evaluates treatment outcomes for effectiveness and modifies services based on patient evaluations.

Refers patients for additional services as needed.

Provides consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers related to physical disorders.

Effectively communicates with supervisors and other health team members regarding patient progress, barriers, and treatment plans.

Documents all regulatory and clinically required information in the electronic documentation system.

Maintains patient records according to company policy.

Accurately records treatment minutes for services provided.

Participates in required meetings, including patient care conferences and rehabilitation meetings.

Engages in facility and company-required trainings, in-services, and conferences.

Able to obtain any necessary durable medical equipment or supplies as per regulatory and clinical practice requirements.

Supervises and supports occupational therapy assistants and rehabilitation aides as needed.

Adheres to ethical and professional standards during practice.
