Position Overview :
We are seeking a Civil Engineer with a strong background in water and wastewater design to join our team in Aberdeen, NC . The ideal candidate will play a key role in planning, designing, and delivering treatment facilities, pumping stations, pipelines, and related infrastructure. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with a passion for solving complex water challenges and contributing to high-impact projects from concept through construction.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead and support the planning, design, and permitting of water and wastewater infrastructure projects, including :
- Treatment plants (water and wastewater)
- Collection and distribution systems
- Pump stations, lift stations, and storage facilities
- Prepare and review engineering drawings, specifications, and technical reports .
- Perform hydraulic modeling, process analysis, and site design .
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including structural, mechanical, and electrical engineers.
- Manage project schedules, budgets, and deliverables.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal requirements.
- Provide construction phase services , including submittal reviews, RFIs, and field inspections.
- Mentor junior engineers and support professional development within the team.
Qualifications :
Bachelors degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering (Masters preferred).Professional Engineer (PE) license required (or ability to obtain within 6 months).510 years of relevant experience in water / wastewater design engineering.Experience in design-build project delivery strongly preferred.Proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D , WaterCAD , SewerCAD , or similar design software.Strong knowledge of applicable codes, standards, and permitting requirements (EPA, AWWA, NCDOT, NCDEQ, etc.).Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.Why Join Us :
