Provide care to patients at freestanding children’s hospital in Virginia and practice in an academic center as faculty Inpatient and outpatient clinic services Opportunity to participate in and create collaborative multidisciplinary clinics. Active involvement in educating medical students, residents, and genetic counseling students with additional opportunity for clinical research. Academic appointment within the Department of Pediatrics at the medical school and opportunities to engage in educational activities at all levels of training. Dedicated team of Medical Geneticists, Genetic Counselors, a Metabolic Dietitian, an Advanced Practice Provider, and other staff support who provide high-quality patient care. Board Certified / Board Eligible Pediatrics Geneticist Training required Ability to hold a Virginia State Medical License Easy access to the beach, Eastern Shore, Outer Banks, and the Blue Ridge Mountains Great public & private school options Several of the country’s great in-state colleges including UVA, Virginia Tech, William & Mary, James Madison, and Old Dominion University Reasonable cost of living throughout the region Home to the East Coast Surfing Championship and to the largest naval base in the world
