Requirements :

Active North Carolina medical license

North Carolina DEA (with an NC address)

National Provider Identifier (NPI) number

Responsibilities :

Consult with patients (0-3 consults per day)

Visit the Emergency Department for closed reductions and admissions (0-2 visits)

Perform surgeries, including wrist, ankle, and hip fractures, as well as incision and drainage procedures (0-2 surgeries per day)

Stabilize and transfer patients with long bone trauma

Gratis hours : 2-4 hours

Onsite individual apartments provided (hospital-owned, clean, with cable and Wi-Fi)

Must be within 20 minutes of the hospital at all times while on call

Credentialing :

Providers must be credentialed with Medicaid / Medicare

Enrollment with PECOS as a provider is required
