The Estimator is responsible for preparing accurate and competitive proposals for doors, frames, and hardware based on project specifications and customer requirements. This role involves reviewing architectural drawings, performing material take-offs, and maintaining awareness of upcoming construction opportunities. The Estimator collaborates closely with both clients and internal teams to ensure a smooth transition from pre-construction to project execution. Strong communication and organizational skills are essential for building customer relationships and supporting overall project success.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
1. Maintain and help build lasting customer relationships through excellent service and responsiveness.
2. Manage and track upcoming construction projects and bid opportunities
3. Perform material take-offs, identify relevant drawings and review architectural specifications.
4. Prepare clear, accurate and competitive proposals for customers.
5. Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and win projects through consultative selling.
6. Coordinate with internal project teams to ensure seamless project handoff and clear communication for successful execution and customer satisfaction.

1. Knowledge of product specifications, applications, and relevant building codes to ensure accurate estimating and compliance with project requirements.
2. Skill in reading and interpreting architectural drawings and construction documents to develop precise material take-offs and proposals.
3. Knowledge of Comsense or similar industry-specific software used for estimating and project management tasks.
4. Ability to communicate effectively, both in writing and verbally, to interact with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
5. Skill in organization, time management, and problem-solving to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines efficiently.
6. Ability to apply a sales-oriented approach focused on building long-term partnerships and securing new business opportunities.
