In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining sterile technique, preparing the operating room, and ensuring the safe and efficient flow of procedures.
Your duties include setting up and arranging surgical instruments, equipment, supplies, and implants; performing accurate counts with a focus on patient safety; assisting the surgical team during procedures by passing instruments, retracting tissues, and maintaining visibility of the operative field; monitoring tissue specimens and ensuring proper labeling and transport; positioning and transferring patients as directed, while upholding patient dignity and comfort.
You’ll be involved in post-operative care by documenting procedures, decontaminating and cleaning rooms, and participating in instrument sterilization processes.
