We're working on behalf of a well-established, long-standing firm seeking an Internal Accountant to oversee their internal financial operations. Accountant Key Requirements :

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant accounting experience; experience in a professional services firm is a plus
  • Proficiency with QuickBooks, Sage, or similar accounting software
  • Strong understanding of GAAP, ledger management, and financial reporting
  • Excellent skills in Excel and attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently with confidentiality
  • Professional, ethical, and highly organized attitude
  • Effective communicator and team player
  • Comfortable handling multiple priorities in a dynamic environment

Accountant Main Responsibilities :

  • Maintain and reconcile the firm's general ledger, accounts payable / receivable, and partner distributions
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for internal review
  • Support month-end close, bank reconciliations, and journal entries
  • Track expenses, budgets, and cash flow to support financial health
  • Provide financial reports and insights to leadership for informed decision-making
  • Assist with tax filings, including 1099s and payroll taxes, adhering to regulatory standards
  • Help ensure internal policies are followed and assist with light client bookkeeping or tax prep during peak seasons
  • Support client invoicing and expense tracking when needed
