We are seeking a talented individual for the role of Credit Services Specialist I. In this part-time position, you will engage in a variety of due diligence underwriting activities related to documentation analysis, ensuring high-quality outcomes for our clients. Your unique skills and experiences will play a crucial role in our mission of excellence.
Key Responsibilities :
- Review loan packages and data files to determine necessary documentation for review.
- Accurately capture and bookmark essential information in the designated system.
- Run system logic on the captured data and address any exceptions to ensure a thorough review.
- Collaborate with the UWQs email group for queries and escalate issues to relevant supervisors.
- Identify and report on file discrepancies or concerns to management.
- Ensure comprehensive and accurate reviews while tracking time spent on each task.
- Stay informed about principles and compliance regulations in mortgage lending.
- Evaluate income, assets, and liability documentation to support underwriting decisions.
- Review appraisals to verify property values and assess real estate owned.
- Recognize signs of potential fraud and utilize external services for verification.
- Analyze payment histories and servicing comments for accuracy.
- Meet production quality and service standards consistently.
- Engage in additional tasks as assigned by your manager.
Qualifications :
College degree or training in finance or mortgage banking preferred; relevant experience considered.Entry-level candidates with 0-2 years of experience in underwriting or due diligence.Preferred experience in secondary market activities and fraud investigations.Self-motivated and reliable with flexible working hours.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and excellent computer skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated analytical abilities and sound judgment.Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.Professional demeanor, punctuality, and dependability are essential.This is a part-time position offering flexibility and the opportunity to grow within the organization.
