About the Role

Medix is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC / LPCC) to join a leading residential behavioral health facility in Las Vegas. This role plays a key part in supporting adolescents ages 11-17 by providing individual, family, and group therapy to address trauma, substance use, and other behavioral health challenges. The counselor will maintain a manageable caseload, facilitate daily therapeutic groups, and deliver high-quality care that fosters healing and growth. Success in this role requires strong clinical skills, crisis management experience, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, fast-paced residential setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide individual, family, and group therapy to adolescents (ages 11-17), maintaining a caseload of 5-8 clients.
• Facilitate at least one therapeutic group session daily, tailoring topics to clinical expertise and client needs.
• Develop, implement, and update treatment plans, ensuring documentation (e.g., assessments, progress notes, discharge plans) is accurate and completed same-day.
• Actively participate as a member of the interdisciplinary treatment team to support holistic client care.
• Manage crisis situations effectively in a residential setting, supporting clients with co-occurring conditions such as trauma, substance use, and eating disorders.
• Coordinate client appointments and limited case management needs, with administrative support for external resources.
• Ensure compliance with HIPAA standards, board requirements, and insurance entities while maintaining licensure and continuing education.
• Support organizational development by providing in-service training and staying current with best practices in counseling and behavioral health.
