Position Description
Summary of Position and Responsibilities : Perform chemical analysis of water, wastewater and wastes.
Reports To
The Laboratory Manager.
Specific Duties
- Perform analyses as assigned including chemical, bacteriological and bioassay
- Complete QC assignments and documentation
- Work independently from standard operating procedures
- Perform data handling, data reduction and calculations
- Review standard operating procedures and perform analysis as in procedure
- Quality Assurance / Quality Control Functions
- Perform assigned quality control documentation
- Assist in the training and supervision of Analyst I and Laboratory Assistants
- Perform MDL studies
- Assist in method development
- Equipment Maintenance
- Perform equipment maintenance as required or assigned
- Troubleshoot instruments as needed
- Assist in prep of supplies for customers
- Assist in sample log-in
- Assist with sampling as needed

Qualifications
Educational Requirements :
Bachelor’s degree in physical, chemical, environmental, biological or engineering scienceAt least 16 hours of college chemistryExperience Requirements :
Three years of laboratory experience. Ten years of laboratory experience meets requirements of Bachelor’s degree.
