Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs diagnostic imaging procedures using sophisticated radiation-detecting instrumentation. Prepares and administers radioactive chemical compounds known as radiopharmaceuticals. Knowledgeable in IV placement to avoid extravasations of radiopharmaceuticals. Performs computer processing and image enhancement. Provides images, data analysis, and patient information to the physician for diagnostic interpretation. Provides excellent patient care. Demonstrates excellent customer service.

Job Description
The Nuclear Medicine Technologist assists physicians in the performance of diagnostic and / or therapeutic procedures by preparing the patient and operating the nuclear medicine equipment in order to obtain diagnostic scans. Administers radiopharmaceuticals and medications to obtain diagnostic images and / or provides therapy as ordered by physician. Performs quality care to pediatric through adult patients using professional and ethical judgment along with critical thinking in performing duties.
Additional Job Description
Education : Graduate of an ARRT or NMTCB recognized Nuclear Medicine Program required.
Experience : 0-2 years of Nuclear Medicine / PET experience required, 1 year preferred.
