Description :

Client-Child Health (MCH) Nurses deliver care to pregnant and laboring women, newborns, children, and families across the continuum of care.

Nurses utilize the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation.

Care is provided in accordance with professional nursing standards.

Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery.

Achieving desired patient outcomes is a key focus.

Nurses interact effectively with patients and their significant others while maintaining professional standards.

MCH Nurses assist obstetricians, pediatricians, anesthesia, and the healthcare team in their tasks to care for the patient.

Effective interpersonal skills and strong oral and written communication skills are essential.

Communication with patients, families, and hospital staff must align with established policies and procedures.

Demonstrating patient-centered behaviors is required.

Organizational skills and accuracy in daily work are essential.

Other general responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
