Job Summary
As an Internal Auditor at BPMI, you will perform moderately complex critical Business functions to support internal audits and risk assessments on BPMI financial functions in areas including, but not limited to : compliance with policies, procedures, applicable government regulations, and disclosed accounting practices.
Essential Duties :
Perform risk assessments and develop audit plans, execute audits, and report on results with limited supervision.Conduct internal audits on moderately complex BPMI financial functions to ensure compliance with policies, procedures, applicable government regulations, and disclosed accounting practices with limited supervision.Collaborate with Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), other external audit agencies, and internal stakeholders to support audits of BPMI by obtaining information, coordinating requests, scheduling meetings, and resolving outstanding items with limited supervision.Prepare audit reports and maintain records of audit findings with limited supervision.Prepare reports for the Audit Committee, Board of Director's, and other stakeholders as needed with limited supervision.Stays abreast of current Internal Auditing and Governmental accounting standards and industry issues.Participates in or lead continuous improvement initiatives and other projects as assigned providing expertise in the area of compliance.The essential duties identified are representative but are not intended to be an exhaustive or inclusive list of all the responsibilities of the position.What You Can Expect :

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management / Administration, or equivalent, from an accredited college or university.A minimum of four (4) years of business and financial data analysis experience required. An advanced degree may be considered in lieu of one year of experience.Twelve (12) or more years of completed education and / or relevant experience may be considered to satisfy educational and years of experience requirements.Requires a security clearance; however, all qualified candidates will be considered regardless of their current clearance status. The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Energy security clearance is required.Preferred Job Requirements :
Previous experience working in internal audit or public accounting or prior experience working with Government Contracts.Applicable certification such as : Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).Familiarity with US government regulations including FAR and DFARS.Strong oral and written communication skills.Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.Ability to function in a fast-paced environment by multi-tasking while still providing significant attention to detail.Why BPMI?
