Family Medicine Program Director position with Ballad Health

Ballad Health Medical Associates is seeking a Program Director to lead the next generation of Family Medicine Physicians at the Lonesome Pine Hospital Family Medicine Residency Program in Norton, Virginia.

The Program Director must have accountability for : administration and operations; teaching and scholarly activity; resident recruitment and selection; evaluation and promotion of residents; disciplinary action; supervision of residents, and resident education in the context of patient care.

Qualified candidates must have :

• Specialty expertise and at least three (3) years of documented educational and / or administrative experience.
• Have current certification by the ABFM or AOBFM, medical licensure, and eligibility for appropriate medical staff appointment.
• Ongoing clinical activity.
• Experience working as part of an interdisciplinary, interprofessional team to create an educational environment that promotes high-quality care, patient safety, and resident well-being.
