Loss Control Inspector Trainee

The Hartford Steam Boiler Inspection and Insurance Company is looking for an Inspector to join our Engineering Team! In this position, you will perform inspections to include low to medium complexity risk exposures, but not limited to, commercial, industrial, and non-manufacturing locations for the purposes of jurisdictional certification, loss prevention, risk assessment, OnSights, and claims investigations. May be utilized for fee service engineering inspections.

Qualifications :

• Education and Experience : High school diploma or equivalent, 2 years' experience with boilers, UPV, industrial, mechanical, and electrical equipment is required. Engineering degree (BSME, BSEE, or BSChE) may be substituted for practical experience. National Board Commission required. Successful completion of Company required training.
• Knowledge and Skills : Planning and organizational skills, self-motivated with the ability to work without direct supervision and adaptability, interpersonal skills, customer service skills, communicates effectively (both verbally and written), problem solving skills, computer technology skills including the Microsoft Office Suite.
