Remote position : Freelance Game Translator (Chinese to English)

Job brief

Our client is a global leader in providing multilingual localisation solutions, specialising in digital interactive entertainment. By now it has completed hundreds of game localisation projects. Relying on excellent localisation experts around the world, we provide localised works that meet the local cultural characteristics of each country. We welcome more excellent localisation experts to join our global game localisation community to bring more joy to people around the world.

Job Highlights

Work completely remotely.
Full immersion in engaging game content.
Standardised translation process with online translation platform.

Responsibilities

As a Localisation Specialist, the best candidate will be an avid computer gamer with a passion for localisation and translation.

You will be responsible for providing the highest quality translations of game promotional documents, storylines, configurations, character descriptions, etc. for the language pair : Chinese (Simplified) to English.

Requirements

Passionate about PC, video or mobile gaming.

Native speaker of either the source or target language.

Experience working with professional game translation / localisation.

Collaborative translators who enjoy working in a team environment and adapt well to fast turnaround times.

Experience using computer-assisted translation tools : MemoQ, Memsource, SDL Trados or Wordfast.
