Surestaff Hiring Custodian

Surestaff is immediately hiring a custodian for a large, well-known client in Carol Stream, IL. The custodian is responsible for maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the manufacturing warehouse. This role ensures that all areas of the facility, including workspaces, restrooms, and common areas, are well-maintained to support optimal operations and safety standards. The custodian plays a key role in preventing accidents and hazards by keeping the workspace tidy and organized. Surestaff is invested in their team members! Available shifts include : 1st shift : 6 : 30am - 3 : 00pm (Monday - Friday).

Custodian Duties and Responsibilities

• Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, and common areas.
• Sweep, mop, or scrub floors in production areas, offices, and hallways.
• Empty trash receptacles and properly dispose of waste, including recycling materials.
• Clean windows, walls, and other surfaces as needed.
• Restock supplies such as paper towels, toilet paper, soap, and cleaning products.
• Maintain cleaning equipment and tools in good working order.
• Report any equipment malfunctions or need for repairs to the manager.
• Follow safety protocols for handling and disposing of hazardous materials.
• Ensure all cleaning practices are in accordance with OSHA and company safety guidelines.
• Identify and report any unsafe conditions or equipment malfunctions.
• Participate in regular safety training sessions.
• Assist in cleaning and organizing storage areas and workspaces to prevent obstructions.
