We are seeking a dedicated and experienced DOE Lead Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in curriculum development, classroom management, and working with young children. This role offers an opportunity to lead educational activities, foster a nurturing environment, and contribute to the developmental growth of students across various age groups. The DOE Lead Teacher will play a vital role in implementing educational standards, supporting special education needs, and promoting literacy and overall childhood development within our program.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging, developmentally appropriate curricula aligned with early childhood education standards.
- Plan and execute lesson plans that incorporate literacy education, math, physical education, and Montessori methods as applicable.
- Manage classroom environments to ensure safety, positive behavior management, and effective learning experiences.
- Support children with special education needs and early intervention strategies to promote inclusive learning.
- Utilize classroom management techniques to foster a respectful and productive atmosphere for children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers.
- Conduct assessments using standardized testing tools to monitor student progress and inform instruction.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and specialists to support child welfare and developmental goals.
- Maintain detailed documentation of student progress, behavioral observations, and lesson plans.
- Lead activities that promote social-emotional development, physical activity, and cognitive skills.
- Ensure compliance with childcare regulations and standards for private schools or daycare settings.
Experience
Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, including preschool or daycare environments.Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, classroom management, and behavior management strategies.Experience with special education programs, early intervention services, or Montessori teaching methods is highly desirable.Familiarity with childhood development milestones, literacy education techniques, standardized testing procedures, and tutoring strategies.Prior experience working with students in private school or daycare settings is preferred.Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with children, parents, staff, and community partners.Knowledge of teaching physical education and integrating math or other core subjects into daily activities is advantageous.
