Job Description
Job Summary : Plans and directs activities concerning development, application, and maintenance of quality standards for industrial processes, materials, and products.
Required Education and Experience :
- Bachelor’s degree from four-year college or university required and five years related experience / training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and Minitab
- Must have a good knowledge of the English language
- GD&T training
- Core Tools Certification
- International Material Data System (IMDS) training
- Excellent teamwork, time management, documentation, communication, and problem solving skills
- Must be able to self-motivate, train others, analyse data, and work independently
- Knowledge of Customer Specific Requirements
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 / IATF 16949
Essential Functions :
Leads the problem solving activity for internal (division) and external (customer and supplier) related quality issues for assigned customer products in compliance with Martinrea Jonesville’s processes related to corrective and preventative actionsPerform root cause analysisEnsures internal and external containment procedures are complied withLeads Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and PPAP submission requirements for assigned customer product according to internal customer specific requirementsCoordinates supplier APQP and PPAP requirements, as applicable for purchased components and materials related to assigned customer products according to internal and customer specific requirementsProvides and verifies all documentation and leads communication of all issues relating to product / process conformance, quality status updates, and other applicable coordination activities to management, the program team, and inter-departments for resolution and / or awarenessSupports engineering change requests, notification systems, and additional quality responsibilities for assigned customer and supplier productsCoordinates / completes PPAP elements for customer submissions as follows :o IMDSo Process FMEA (Engineering is responsible to initiate and drive, Quality is required in development and other plant disciplines)o Control Planso Measurement System Analysiso Dimensional Resultso Material Requirementso Process / Part Performance Test Resultso Initial Process Studieso Qualified Laboratory Documentationo Sample Productso Master Sampleso Checking Aidso Records of Compliance with OEM Requirements (Engineering and Quality)o Part Submission WarrantsPerforms any other duties assigned by the Quality ManagerAbide by all Company polices including, but not limited to the following : Health and Safety, Quality and Environmental Systems, Human Resources policies, and the Martinrea Employee Handbook
