Job Description

As a Security Professional - Luxury Retail Site - Morning Shift in Palo Alto, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail / Malls and more .

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will play a key role in helping to maintain a secure environment within a prestigious retail location. Your responsibilities will include conducting regular patrols throughout the premises, staying visible to help to deter security-related incidents, and providing outstanding customer service to both staff and visitors. You will be expected to respond promptly to any security-related situations and communicate clearly with team members and the public. In this role, you may be required to drive as part of your patrol duties. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies, as well as responding to emergency situations when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established protocols.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location and its perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and to observe and report any unusual conditions.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and common areas to help to deter theft, vandalism, or other unwanted activity.
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, visitors, and team members to relay important information and instructions.
  • Complete detailed incident and activity reports as required by Allied Universal and the site-specific policies.
  • Assist with crowd management and / or access control during busy periods or special events at the location.
  • Remain alert to surroundings and maintain a strong presence to help to deter unwanted behavior within the retail environment.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Loss prevention experience is preferred.
  • A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred.
  • Experience with customer service is preferred.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • A valid driver's license is required in the job state for driving positions only.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
