Job Title : Therapist

Job Type : Part-Time (W-2 Employee)
Location : West Allis, WI (In-Person & Hybrid Options)
Position Summary
The Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality mental health services to individuals, couples, and groups. This position requires a commitment to ethical, client-centered care and adherence to professional standards. The provider will maintain clinical documentation, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and contribute to a supportive, wellness-focused workplace culture.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Clinical Services
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans.
Provide psychotherapy to clients using evidence-based practices.
Maintain appropriate clinical documentation in compliance with ethical and regulatory standards and within the timeframe required.
Ensure confidentiality and professional boundaries are upheld at all times.
Administrative & Compliance Responsibilities
Utilize the designated electronic health record (EHR) system (TherapyNotes) for documentation.
Follow all organizational policies, procedures, and applicable legal guidelines.
Complete necessary credentialing paperwork for insurance panels (provided by the organization).
Collaboration & Professional Development
Participate in team meetings, case consultations, and training sessions.
Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education.
Collaborate with colleagues and external partners to support client care.
Qualifications & Requirements
Education & Licensure :
Master’s or Doctoral degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field.
Active Wisconsin license in one of the following (in training license accepted) :
Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC)
Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
Experience & Skills :
Minimum of one year of post-graduate clinical experience preferred.
Strong knowledge of evidence-based therapeutic interventions.
Ability to self-manage scheduling and caseload within organizational guidelines.
Competency in electronic health records and clinical documentation.
Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
Working Conditions & Expectations
Work may be conducted in an office setting, virtually, or in a hybrid model. Virtual work must be done within a HIPAA compliant space.
Flexible scheduling within client demand and organizational policies.
Must adhere to confidentiality, HIPAA, and ethical guidelines at all times.
Minimal administrative burden—billing, credentialing, marketing, phone and website referrals are handled by the organization.
Compensation & Benefits
In Training Licensure- 45.00 per hour
Independent Licensure- 60.00 per hour
PhD level- 65.00
Nora Milwaukee is working toward establishing sustainable and ethical standards for therapists following a W-2 model. Part time therapists have the ability to establish a full time caseload of 20 billable hours. Therapists that have established a full time case load (20 billable hours / week) will receive $ 250.00 / month into an HSA and 3.5% 401K retirement match. Additional benefits are being explored!
