About The Position

Job Title : CT Tech Per Diem

Location : Centinela Hospital Medical Center California

Position Summary :

Centinela Hospital Medical Center is seeking an experienced CT Technologist to join our Per Diem Imaging Services team . The CT Tech performs high-quality computed tomography procedures, producing accurate diagnostic images while ensuring patient safety and comfort. This role supports radiologists and physicians in both diagnostic and interventional procedures and requires flexibility to cover rotating day, evening, or night shifts.

Key Responsibilities :

Perform CT procedures in accordance with physician orders, departmental protocols, and radiation safety standards.

Operate CT scanners, mobile, and stationary radiographic / fluoroscopic equipment safely and effectively.

Prepare and position patients for imaging, ensuring proper alignment and minimal radiation exposure.

Establish and maintain IV access for contrast media administration per hospital policy.

Process and transmit completed studies to PACS for interpretation.

Verify image quality and documentation accuracy before submission.

Maintain accurate patient records within the EMR and radiology information systems.

Ensure compliance with all CDPH-RHB , ARRT , and hospital policies regarding safety, infection control, and confidentiality.

Collaborate with radiologists, nurses, and other clinical staff to ensure efficient departmental operations.

Qualifications (Legally Required) :

California Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) License required

Fluoroscopy Permit (CDPH) required within 6 months if not current

ARRT (R) and ARRT (CT) certifications required

BLS (AHA) certification required

Graduate of a JRCERT-accredited Radiologic Technology program required

Minimum 2 years of recent acute-care CT or radiology experience required per company policy

Shift Details : Type : Per Diem

Shifts : Rotating 8-hour shifts 6 : 30 AM 3 : 00 PM, 3 : 00 PM 11 : 30 PM, or 7 : 00 PM 3 : 30 AM

Schedule : Variable days, evenings, or nights as needed

Setting : Imaging Services / Computed Tomography
