Benefits & Leaves Manager
A California-based organization dedicated to serving its community is seeking a Benefits & Leaves Manager to oversee employee benefits, leave programs, accommodations, and workers’ compensation administration. This role is ideal for a hands-on HR professional who enjoys managing details, mentoring staff, and ensuring employees receive accurate and timely support throughout their employment journey.
What You’ll Do :
Manage the full scope of employee benefits programs, including health, dental, vision, life, retirement, and wellness plans.
Lead all leave-related processes—family, medical, disability, and state-specific leaves—with a focus on compliance and consistency.
Oversee ADA / FEHA accommodations and coordinate return-to-work programs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with benefit carriers, brokers, and third-party administrators.
Support HR compliance initiatives, reporting, and audits across benefits and leave functions.
Coach and develop HR team members to ensure exceptional service delivery and process efficiency.
What You Bring :
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (HR or Benefits certification preferred).
3+ years managing benefits and leave programs, with 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role.
Comprehensive knowledge of FMLA, CFRA, ADA, FEHA, COBRA, ERISA, ACA, and related regulations.
Experience supporting a multi-site workforce; nonprofit or service-based experience is a plus.
Strong analytical, organizational, and interpersonal communication skills.
