Construction Project Manager

Our client, a leader in research facilities, is seeking a Construction Project Manager to join their team. As a Construction Project Manager, you will be part of the Facilities and Expansion department supporting large-scale research laboratory projects. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent problem-solving abilities, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location : Baltimore, MA

Pay Range : $58-$80 / HR

What's the Job?

  • Lead the full lifecycle execution of complex research laboratory development projects, ensuring timely and within-budget delivery.
  • Manage feasibility studies, site selection, zoning, permitting, and environmental assessments, collaborating with brokers, municipalities, and property owners.
  • Oversee all phases of project design and construction, including procurement, budgeting, scheduling, and quality control.
  • Coordinate architectural, engineering, and contractor selection and monitor their performance to meet project standards.
  • Identify, mitigate, and resolve project risks proactively, maintaining clear communication with all stakeholders.

What's Needed?

  • Proven experience managing large, complex construction projects, especially research laboratories or highly technical environments IS A MUST
  • Strong understanding of construction processes, systems integration, and compliance requirements for specialized facilities.
  • Ability to lead cross-functional teams and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Excellent budget management, contract negotiation, and risk mitigation skills.
  • Availability to travel as needed to support project execution (20-40%).
