Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner

Job Description :

We are looking for a responsible Nurse Practitioner to support the doctors' work and actively facilitate patients' recovery. You will apply medical techniques and principles under the direction of a physician. You will manage a diverse set of geriatric patients in nursing home facilities offering them psychiatric medicine management and therapy.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients' mental health and their demands, aiming to fulfill them as well as possible
• Issue appropriate prescriptions and administer medicine under the supervision of the supervising psychiatrist
• Inform supervising psychiatrist about any problems or discrepancies that might arise
• Acquire and review patient histories identifying abnormal conditions
• Monitor patients' progress and keep records of treatments or other medical events
• Work with the Nursing Home staff to address their residents' health concerns
• Conduct routine mental health evaluations
• Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for the patients
• Comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards
• Collaborate effectively with team members and partnering facilities' staff

Skills

Experience in Psychiatry is a plus but not required. On the job training will be provided by the supervising psychiatrist
