Description :

Performs assigned patient care and observation duties under the direction of a licensed or Registered Nurse. Assists in the Operating Rooms, under the supervision of surgeons, registered nurses or other surgical personnel. Set-up of the operating room, prepare and transport patients for surgery, adjust lights and equipment, pass instruments and other supplies to surgeons and surgeon’s assistants, hold retractors, cut sutures, assist with supplies and instrumentation cleaning. Maintains a proper sterile field during procedures, wash and sterilize equipment and clean Operating Rooms after surgical procedures. Performs related responsibilities as required. All duties and patient interaction performed in accordance with International Center for Foot & Ankle Surgery standards of care. Knowledge and understanding of HIPAA a must. Work in a team environment in a professional manner. Job duties and responsibilities include all of the above and are not all inclusive. Traveling may be required

Requirements :

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program. Basic computer skills required. One year work experience preferred. Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) certification is required for hire and must be renewed throughout employment. X-Ray Safety Course Certificate required if operating the X-Ray Machine.
