This position is part of Novanta's Corporate and Shared Services global teams. Novata's Corporate and Shared Services teams play an important role in executing the company's strategic mission and operations. Included in Corporate and Shared Services are the business functions including Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, Information Technology, Legal, Compliance, Corporate Development and Corporate Marketing. The Corporate and Shared Services teams work closely with all Novanta business units to support operating initiatives contributing to the organization's financial success.

Summary

As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of vendor invoices. Additionally, this role will respond promptly and professionally to requests from both internal and external customers.

Primary Responsibilities

• Process both 3-way match and non-PO invoices in a timely manner to ensure payments are processed according to established payment terms.
• Process invoices from scanned invoice images and route for approval as needed.
• Work with Supply Chain for invoices on hold (missing receipts, price discrepancies, etc.) for resolution.
• Prepare and process payment runs (checks, ACH, wire transfers) in a timely manner. Also, credit card processing.
• Review vendor statements to ensure accounts are kept current and all credits have been processed.
• Follow all corporate accounting policies and procedures to ensure SOX compliance.
• Support annual 1099 preparation.
• Assist with month end closing activities and special projects as required.
• Intercompany invoice processing.
